Statue of Liberty

A trip to New York is incomplete without a visit to the famous and so very popular Statue of Liberty. Need I even say this ?. As you fly into New York, its impossible to miss this famous landmark from your aircraft window!. A monument that has captured the imagination of many a tourist thanks to its true magnificence.

The Statue of Liberty administration conducts various programs for visitors and schools to better explain the history and significance of this World Heritage Monument. Guided tours, documentary films, theatrical programs and audio tours are just some of the options YOU may choose to learn more about the Statue of Liberty.

An enduring sign of peace, freedom and democracy, the Statue of Liberty was a gift to the American people by the French in the year 1886. Located in New York Harbor, only the grounds of the Liberty Island are open to public. The museum, crown and other observation decks have been closed indefinitely to public for security reasons :(

Open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the week, the park is a great place to click some amazing snaps of you with family and friends. Ticket prices are cheap at $10.00 for adults. Seniors and children above 4 years are charged $8.00, while younger kids get free admission.
